McLaren denies PURE engine switch

McLaren has played down rumours it will switch engine supplier in 2014
McLaren has played down reports that its cars could be powered by PURE engines in 2014.
Former BAR team principal Craig Pollock is behind the PURE project and is targeting at least two customers for his new turbo V6 engine by 2014. Reports in Italy linked McLaren to a potential deal, but the team moved swiftly to deny a linkup.
"McLaren has had absolutely no contact with PURE for many months," a McLaren spokesman toldReuters. "Moreover, the contact we did have with PURE, many months ago, was of an entirely informal nature, and was merely a courtesy gesture."
In late November, reports linked McLaren with rumours Honda is looking to return to F1 in 2014 as an engine supplier, but when asked about the rumours managing director Jonathan Neale told ESPNF1: "That's all wide of the mark.
"We are wedded to, very happy with and enjoying our partnership with Mercedes-Benz. We're not quite sure how or where that broke from in truth, but I can stop the rumours and say we are entirely focused on the Mercedes-Benz relationship. We've had a long standing relationship with them, with many wins and championships and long may that continue."

Zest Fest 2012

Zest Fest 2012

If you like spicy / hot food you have to attend a Zest Fest. Just got back from Zest Fest 2012. Believe me when I tell you there was more than enough hot things to sample. Here are some photos:

There is Joshua, my youngest, on the left in the red sweat jacket. His head is turned, no doubt, so you cannot see him snickering after coning me into sampling something excruciatingly hot.

Dreadlocks & painted faces at the Zach's Zombie Sauce table.

They had a stage for musicians and for cooking demos.

This was on a tank top.

They had just about everything you could think of with hotness added, from margarita mix to chocolate. I sweated and even cried it was so good. Half of the fun was just seeing what they named some of the products. I left with a full belly from sampling and a mouth that was on fire. They had milk stations set up but wanted $2.00 for a small school kids sized carton. If you are in the D/FW area I hope I'll see you next year.

McLaren pair 'raring to go' - Whitmarsh

Martin Whitmarsh says that both Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton are "raring to go" ahead of the start of pre-season testing.
Following a difficult winter testing campaign in 2011 when the MP4-26 looked clearly off the pace, McLaren was left playing catch-up to Red Bull and was unable to provide a stern challenge in the drivers' and constructors' championships. This year's tests have therefore taken on an added importance, and Whitmarsh told the official Formula One website that both drivers would have the same opportunity to get the most out of the new car.
"As you'd expect, with pre-season testing as restricted as it is nowadays, our race drivers will be doing as much as they can," Whitmarsh said. "Both Jenson and Lewis will consequently be spending a lot of time in Spain over the next few weeks, and both of them are raring to go. We're fortunate that we have two world champions in our driver line-up - a claim that can be made by no other team - and McLaren's ethos has always been, and remains, to treat both its drivers as equal number-ones. That's what we've always done, that's what we'll do this year, and as long as I'm around that's what we'll always do."
Speaking specifically about the new car, Whitmarsh said that not knowing how competitive the other teams will be made any progress hard to judge.
"At this time of year, before testing has begun, you never know how well your car is going to perform relative to its principal opposition. And I'm well aware that Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes AMG, as well as all the other teams, are working just as hard on their 2012 cars as we are. But, bearing in mind that unknown variable - in other words the performance of our competitors' cars - all I can say with any certainty is that the MP4-27 is a logical evolution of the MP4-26, adapted to the new technical regulations, and that from what we can discern its development is going in the right direction."

Raikkonen expects midfield battle

Kimi Raikkonen has admitted that he doesn't expect to be challenging the front-runners during the 2012 season.
Raikkonen makes his comeback this year having been absent for two seasons since leaving Ferrari. The 2007 world champion has had his motivation questioned, with some observers doubting how long he will remain with Lotus if not given a competitive car. However, Raikkonen said that his expectations for this season were not high, and that it was a situation he was familiar with.
"I expect to have to fight in the middle group," Raikkonen told the BBC. "But it will not be a drama. It's no different to my last year at Ferrari."
Raikkonen did admit that he aspires to win another title, but said it wasn't the main reason for his return.
"Of course the championship is the goal," he is quoted by Turun Sanomat. "It's fine to try it, but I am not obsessed about having another championship or not."
With pre-season testing yet to get underway, Raikkonen has only driven the 2010 Renault in a private test so far. He said that one he gets to drive the new car his initial impressions will give an indication of how competitive he can be this year.
"Generally, if the car feels good right from the start, you are usually competitive (for the season). The races I don't think are so different (from 2009). Vettel was strong even then even though there is much more passing now, but that depends on the moving wing. I haven't tried it (DRS) yet, or the KERS because it was the 2010 car (at Valencia). But it's just one or two more buttons to push."

Raikkonen impresses Lotus in Valencia

Kimi Raikkonen impressed Lotus team principal Eric Boullier with his performance on the first day of his private test at Valencia.
Returning to the sport after a two-year absence, Raikkonen is undertaking two days of running in a Renault R30 to reacclimatise to a Formula One car. Following the first day at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Boullier said that Raikkonen had already displayed good feedback to the team despite the car and tyres being of little relevance ahead of the new season.
"I must say today was very positive," Boullier said. "You can see that the whole team is pleased with Kimi's feedback, and Kimi himself seemed very happy to be back behind the wheel. He got the feel of the car very quickly and it's good to see him building a strong relationship with the team.
"Obviously, the R30 is different to the new car, but he is clearly excited to get started at the first test in Jerez. Our team is made up of true racing people, and Kimi fits into that very well."
Director of trackside operations Alan Permane said that Raikkonen had also displayed professionalism to go with his speed and that he was encouraged for the year ahead.
"The day went pretty much as we planned, which is great," Permane said. "Kimi was on the pace we expected straight away. He completed around 300km, going through three sets of tyres. It leaves us with four sets for tomorrow, meaning we can run a bit longer. We worked on getting him comfortable in the car, giving him a feel for the setup changes, and helping him get to know his engineers.
"It's always great to work with a top driver who is not just quick, but professional, and Kimi has all of those characteristics. His feedback is excellent, his requests are concise and to the point. We're looking forward to a good season with him."

Mark Webber will drive the new RB8 first for Red Bull after the team announced its driver schedule for the first test in Jerez.
Webber will be at the wheel for the first two days of the test, which begins on February 7. He will hand over to Sebastian Vettel on days three and four. So far only McLaren has confirmed its driver schedule, with Jenson Button in the new MP4-27 for the opening two days before Lewis Hamilton takes over.
Only Mercedes and Marussia have delayed the launch of their new cars until after the first test, with both teams planning to run at the second test in Barcelona. Marussia said that it will run a 2011 car in Jerez to allow new driver Charles Pic as much track time as possible.
The first car to be launched ahead of the new season will be Caterham's CT01 on January 26, followed by McLaren on February 1 and Ferrari and Force India on February 3. Red Bull's RB8 will be launched online on February 6.

Ecclestone hopes for close title fight

Bernie Ecclestone admits that he would like to see a close battle for the world championship in 2012 after Sebastian Vettel dominated last season.
2010 saw one of the closest championships in recent years with four drivers in with a chance of winning the title going in to the last race, but after Vettel came out victorious he went on to ease to back-to-back championships last year. When asked bySalzburger Nachrichten if Vettel could repeat that performance, Ecclestone admitted: "I hope not!
"Of course, Red Bull are still going to be there," Ecclestone said. "I would much prefer a fight for the world title right to the end of the season ... (But) the TV viewers care more about the tension of the race than the championship."
Ecclestone admitted that if Red Bull continued to have the dominant car then he hoped Mark Webber could make life more difficult for Vettel.
"I don't want Red Bull to dominate in the same way but I fear that's what will happen. That's why I put my hopes on Mark Webber's shoulders. This year we will see a situation where he can show his talent much more."
With Ferrari only winning one race in 2011 and the rest of the victories being shared between Red Bull and McLaren, Ecclestone said he'd like to see four winning teams this season.
"I would be surprised if Mercedes don't win a race this year. As for Ferrari, I can only hope they improve significantly. Alonso is super-talented and deserves a perfect car."

Hamilton set for Sutil court date

© Sutton Images
Lewis Hamilton is likely to be called to give evidence at the trial of Adrian Sutil later this month. Sutil will appear in court in Munich charged with assaulting Genii Capital's Eric Lux in a Shanghai nightclub last April.
Court spokesperson Ingrid Kaps told German newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost: "The first day Lewis Hamilton is called as a witness. This is a mandatory appearance." Hamilton was at the club but was not involved in the incident.
The trial starts on January 30, and with McLaren's launch scheduled to take place at the team's headquarters in Surrey on February 1, the timing is far from ideal for Hamilton.
Sutil's manager Manfred Zimmermann, has insisted his client will be exonerated. "We have a video where it can be seen clearly that this was not Adrian attacking or intentionally hurting someone," Zimmermann told PA. "We expect an acquittal, or at worst a conviction for negligent injury. But that would not jeopardise his career."
Aside from his legal troubles, Sutil who is facing a season on the sidelines after being dropped by Force India. The only team yet to confirm its line-up for 2012 is HRT, and a move to the grid's perennial backmarkers would not represent a good career move for someone so highly rated.

Bates Boots Revisited

Bates Boots Revisited

I wrote a review in June of "09 of Bates E02264 5" Defender Tactical Boots. Well they have served me well for quite some time and as many miles at work, and for riding. I finally wore the tread just about clean off of them. They are a little worse for wear but the zippers and everything have held up just fine. So fine, in fact, that I went out looking for a new pair. Here are some photos of the worn out boots:

I could not fine the same model at the local Academy Sports & Outdoors around my area. So, last month, I went with the Bates Men's 8" Tactical Sport Side Zip Boot. They are a little taller and don't have the composite toe protector, but have all the same features:

So far, the new pair have been holding up just fine. Some of the best features of these boots are that they  increase your machismo and sex appeal. They also have fantastic traction. The best feature, however, is their easy on and off with the side zipper. These Bates boots definitely was made for ridin'!

FIA bans reactive ride height for 2012

The reactive suspension system pioneered by Lotus has been banned for the 2012 season, according to reports.
Lotus hoped to steal a march on its rivals with the concept, that regulates ride height under braking, but sources emerged on Friday that the FIA sent a note to all teams that the device was no longer considered legal.
Ferrari was one team that was looking into the legalities of the device that was thought to have found a loophole in the regulations as it is reactive to brake torque and not driver activated.
But Williams chief operations engineer Mark Gillan was quoted on Friday night that he had received a note from the FIA saying that the system had been outlawed.
"The FIA has just banned that particular type of system," said Gillan. "We have been investigating that type of system for a while. It obviously has an impact on the aero platform of the car, [and] anything that gets the front ride height lower is beneficial from an aerodynamic perspective."
Gillan was speaking straight after the FIA issued the directive, and confirmed that he had not had time to examine it fully.
Lotus will launch its 2012 challenger at 1700 CET on Sunday February 5 ahead of the Jerez test, the same day the team's new website will go live.
Kimi Raikkonen will then take to the wheel of the new car for the first two days of the pre-season test before handing over duties to team-mate Romain Grosjean for the remaining two days.

Kurt Busch Signs to Drive Kyle Busch's Nationwide Car

Associated Press

MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- The Busch Brothers will be teamed together for the first time in more than a decade this season as co-drivers for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Kyle Busch tabbed his older brother, Kurt, to share the No. 54 Toyota this year in the Nationwide Series. The brothers on Thursday introduced Monster Energy as their sponsor for the new team.

KBM has fielded a Truck Series team since 2010, but this will be its first year in stock-cars and in NASCAR's second-tier series. The brothers wasted no time boasting what they can accomplish this year: Kurt Busch said it's possible for them to sweep the entire 33-race schedule, while Kyle said his team will run for the Nationwide owner's championship.

"We've had a lot of talks about how this whole deal is going to work out, what we're both looking to get out of this and what a great opportunity this is to race in the Nationwide Series," Kyle Busch said. "Kurt's never done a full Nationwide deal, he's always had the itch but never really cared about it.

"Now this is something for him to get out there and win some races, help bring some banners over here."

Valencia negotiating with Ecclestone

The organisers of the European Grand Prix in Valencia are negotiating with Bernie Ecclestone over the future of the race.
Valencia's government recently admitted that the race was one of a number of major events under review due to the economic crisis in Spain. With the Spanish Grand Prix also under threat, Ecclestone said that Barcelona wanted to explore the opportunity ofalternating races with Valencia in future. Alberto Fabra, president of the Valencia Generalitat has now confirmed that he wants the race to continue but that the contract needs to be revised.
"We want to continue with the grand prix of Europe," Fabra said. "But with different conditions."
Fabra said that the aim of the negotiations with Ecclestone was to seek "lower costs ... [to] find the right balance". Jose Ciscar, the vice-president of the Valencian government, has previously said that cancelling the contract was an unrealistic option due to the penalty costs that could be incurred.

Spanish races could alternate - Ecclestone

Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that the organisers of the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona would like to alternate with the European Grand Prix at Valencia.
As a result of the financial crisis in Europe, both races are believed to be under threat after government officials in the respective cities admitted they would have to assess the viability of major events. Now Ecclestone has said that the two races could alternate to save money, with Barcelona being the instigator of such a solution.
"What's been talked about more is that Barcelona would like to alternate with them (Valencia)," Ecclestone told the Financial Times. "Maybe it's a good thing. Maybe it's the way to go."
The Valencia government hinted at such a move in early January, with vice president Jose Ciscar admitting a complete cancellation of the contract could prove too expensive.
"With contracts signed, we can't be imprudent because the penalty could cost us more. We have to find balanced solutions."

Button better than ever, says Coulthard

Former McLaren driver David Coulthard says Jenson Button is a better driver now than when he won the world title with Brawn GP back in 2009.
Button enjoyed a dominant start to the 2009 season, winning six of the first seven races before eventually closing out the title by 11 points from Sebastian Vettel.
But Coulthard thinks Button, who was second to Vettel in 2011, has grown even more as a driver since his move to McLaren.
"I think he's a better driver now than when he won his world title with Brawn," said Coulthard at the Autosport International Show. "When he made his big points gap, and then the rivals started to catch up, he made mistakes. It was like a tennis player missing an easy smash.
"Now you look at him and the way he's performed, growing in confidence all the time. It's got to the stage now where when the conditions are at their most difficult, he's the guy they look to. It's pretty impressive being in that position."
Coulthard added that Sebastian Vettel can now be counted as one of the all-time greats of the sport after securing back-to-back world titles last season.
"What it shows is the emergence of a real great within the sport by winning those back-to-back world championships.
"In the end it's actually quite amazing that Sebastian was so dominant, because his victories were not like in the Michael Schumacher era, when he would sometimes be winning by half a lap or something."

McLaren 'taking controlled risk'

McLaren managing director Jonathan Neale says that the team is "taking controlled risk" as it builds towards the new season.
With Red Bull having had the fastest car for the 2011 season, McLaren is hoping to close the gap with the new MP4-27 this year. Until the first test at Jerez in February the teams don't know how competitive their cars are relative to the competition, and Neale said that he expected to see a number of different ideas when the new cars finally hit the track.
"We're in the business of taking controlled risk," Neale said at the Autosport International Show. "F1 is not a business where you can afford to relax at any moment of time. At the moment, we have no idea of the competition. There will be various interpretations of the rules as set out by the FIA, as we saw at the beginning of last year.
"Look at what Renault did. They took an innovative approach to where they exited the exhausts by blowing the front of the floor and that stood them in good stead because they stood on the podium at the start of last year."
However, Neale warned that starting the season with a quick car would not be enough to challenge for the title, merely the first step towards it.
"If you don't keep that relentless pressure of development up, you go backwards. Red Bull, Ferrari, ourselves and Mercedes have, over the years, got quite good at that development."
Having endured a difficult pre-season testing programme last year, Neale admitted that McLaren is having to make sure it doesn't prevent it from taking risks with the new car.
"We stumbled badly last year and got into some reliability issues with the car, maybe we took too big a bite on some things that we paid dearly for. Over the winter, we didn't get the maximum use of that precious testing time. Of course that is in our mind at the moment, but you can't be defensive. If you want to win races, you've got to push really hard. We must not be risk averse and not do these kinds of projects."

Alonso welcomes new arrivals

Fernando Alonso has welcomed the new Ferrari arrivals Hirohide Hamashima and Steve Clark, saying that the team has become more efficient.
While Clark arrives from Mercedes to become head of race engineers, it's the recruitment of Hamashimathat excites Alonso the most. The ex-Bridgestone director of motorsport tyre development joins the team to help prevent a repeat of Ferrari's 2011 tyre troubles, and Alonso said that his addition will strengthen the team.
"All new arrivals are welcome," Alonso said. "They bring precious information and previous experience from other teams and so the team is strengthened. Hirohide Hamashima is a very good addition because last year we were not able to maximize the potential of the tyres."
Alonso points to Pat Fry's influence in the restructuring as key, saying that the team has improved "in all areas" since his promotion to technical director.
"When Pat Fry arrived he had new ideas. I think he was surprised by the way Ferrari did some things and using his experience elsewhere one can maximize things and so the team improves in all areas. Let's hope Felipe and I are both extremely competitive. Half the races being won by one and half by the other would be good! My focus is on our car. If we do things well we can fight for the championship. You have to focus on the car. Since Pat Fry arrived there have been many changes and the team is more efficient."

Teams leave Bahrain call to FIA

Christian Horner and Stefano Domenicali believe Formula One needs to trust the FIA's decision over whether to return to Bahrain in 2012.
A human rights group called on the teams to boycott the race amid ongoing unrest in the country, saying that Formula One would be helping the government portray a false image if the race went ahead. However, steps are being taken in an attempt to ensure the race goes ahead, and Horner said that it was a decision that needed to be made by the sport's governing body.
"We enter a championship run by the FIA," Horner told the BBC, "and we need to trust in their decision."
Stefano Domenicali agreed, saying that the teams are not in a position to make a call on whether they race or not.
"I have heard lots of rumours about the situation," Domenicali said. "We need to rely on the competent authorities: the federation, the commercial rights holder and the government of the country. We need to be cool and realistic and wait and see what happens. We will monitor it, but we need to rely on them. We need to trust them."
Domencali also said he felt the FIA could still be trusted despite a delegate giving the country the all-clear following a visit.
"Maybe (that) experience will give a different approach and the information will be more accurate."

New Rules Focus at Daytona Pre-Season Testing

By Dave Rodman
NASCAR.com

Practices: Thursday & Friday 9-12a 1-5pm (ET)
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Earnhardt Ganassi Racing suffered through a subpar 2011 Sprint Cup season as a group and after some major changes to EGR's structure, no one's readier for the 2012 season to begin than Jamie McMurray and his teammate, Juan Montoya.

McMurray, who won the 2010 Daytona 500 and two other plum victories later that season, struggled to finish 27th in points last season.

So with virtually a full field of Cup teams expected to test Thursday through Saturday during Preseason Thunder at Daytona International Speedway, McMurray's anxious to gauge the impact of EGR's new team manager, Max Jones, and his own team's new car chief, Randy Cox, from the former Red Bull Racing, and a new engineer, Dave Winston, who came from Penske Racing.

Montoya, who also won a race in 2010 after qualifying for the 2009 Chase, but struggled to 21st in the points last season, is working with a new crew chief, former Hendrick Motorsports engineer Chris Heroy.

But this test is going to be everyone's first chance to work with a complete new rules package that's a result of information gathered during recent tests at Talladega this past October and at Daytona in November.

"While we have had other tests with these setups, this is the first opportunity for the entire field to test together and get more comfortable with this package as it relates to their cars," NASCAR vice president for competition Robin Pemberton said. "This three-day test will allow the engine tuners for these teams to be able to work with their engine packages and see how they relate and react to the new cooling regulations."

While some of the elements were tested, others are new and being seen on-track by the teams for the first time, including smaller radiators with a two-gallon capacity; a smaller cooling system overflow tank with a capacity of a half-gallon; and the radiator inlet being moved up, closer into the front-center bumper area.

Along with electronic fuel injection, which underwent multiple tests in 2011 preparing for its full implementation in ' 12, teams last year also tested a rate reduction for rear springs, making them softer to get the rear spoiler out of the air; a smaller rear spoiler; and a baseline restrictor plate of 29/32nds of an inch (1/64th-inch larger than the plate size for the 2011 Daytona 500).

NASCAR's made it no secret that their changes are designed to break up the two-car drafting formations that teams have gradually discovered is the quickest way around the biggest speedways. The teams' necessary goal is to continue that style of racing.

"You're going to work on trying to stay locked together and making that [tandem drafting] still work," McMurray said. "I personally hope that no one can do it, and that it doesn't work but I don't know that. They've changed the rules a lot so it will be really interesting to see, when we get down [to Daytona] to see if you're able to stay locked together.

"Because if you are, and those other guys can't -- it's 10 miles per hour difference in speed if you can stay locked together or not -- so yeah, I'm anxious to get down [to Daytona] and see what the cars are going to be like."

Montoya's pretty much on the same page as his teammate.

"Our goal is to figure out what we need to do to make our Target Chevrolet better before we come back down to Daytona [for Speedweeks]," Montoya said. "We've completely redone our cars so it'll be interesting to see what we have when we unload on Thursday. We want to gain as much knowledge as possible. I guess we'll have to see if the changes NASCAR made were enough to break up the tandem drafting or not."

Clint Bowyer tested with his new Michael Waltrip Racing team and crew chief Brian Pattie last month strictly for the purpose of building relationships. His new teammate, Mark Martin, is testing with new crew chief Rodney Childers on Wednesday at New Smyrna Speedway, about a half-hour south of Daytona, and said both sessions were much more important on a personnel level than a mechanical one.

"These tests aren't incredibly important from the car hardware side, it's more important for us as a new group working together to work through the areas like communication, flow, learning everyone's names, routines and things like that," Martin said. "That's really the critical part of the test. From the hardware side, we do have a number of things we want to run through at these tests, but all teams are doing those kinds of things.

"These tests are valuable because we want everything to be working like a smooth-oiled machine by the time we get to the Daytona 500. Then, by the time we get to Phoenix, we want to be acting like we've been racing together for years."

"New Smyrna will be fun because it's a handling track," Childers said of the half-mile, high-banked oval. "With Mark's short-track experience, I'm looking forward to his feedback and him pointing us in the right direction."

Martin did say the new regulations have done more than pique his curiosity. Last season, he almost uniquely worked with Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon in the tandem draft but this year he's going to pay a little more attention.

"The one other thing that I am going to focus on this time at Daytona, more than I did a year ago, is working on tandem drafting," said Martin, who finished 10th and 33rd at Daytona last season. "We didn't do that last year and it's going to be even more of a challenge this year. Rodney and I want to look toward being ahead of the curve on the two-car tandem or explore areas that will give us an advantage."

"The Daytona test will be about us working on our qualifying setup for the first day and a half and drafting the rest of the time," Childers said. "The most important thing is the draft, making sure our cars can do what they need to do. We'll probably work on some cooling to see if our cars can push longer than some of the others."

Raikkonen to test R30 in January

Lotus (formerly Renault) has confirmed that Kimi Raikkonen will drive one of its R30's in January to reacquaint himself with a Formula One car.
Having been named as a Lotus driver for the 2012 season back in December, Raikkonen admitted that he hoped to spend some time in a car before the first test having not raced in Formula One for two years. At the time he said: "We don't test the new car until February, so it's a long wait. However, I should be able to jump into a two-year-old F1 car in January."
With rules permitting teams to run cars from two seasons ago on demo-spec tyres, Lotus confirmed on Twitter that Raikkonen would get time in the 2010 car.
"We can now confirm that Kimi Raikkonen will be completing some mileage in the team's R30 car at Valencia on 23rd/24th January!"
Valencia's Ricardo Tormo circuit is not being used for winter testing this season. The first pre-season test takes place at Jerez on February 7-10, with the subsequent two tests being held at Barcelona.

Human rights group wants F1 to boycott Bahrain

A human rights group has urged Formula One teams and drivers to boycott the Bahrain Grand Prix over unrest in the country.
Problems in Bahrain have been ongoing since last year, with the 2011 season-opening grand prix postponed and eventually cancelled as a result. However, the FIA has ratified a calendar with Bahrain scheduled for April, with Bernie Ecclestone saying that he would only reconsider if presented with "incontrovertible evidence that unacceptable things were still happening".
Now Nabeel Rajab, vice president for Bahrain Center for Human Rights, says that the group will be asking for teams to make the decision for themselves.
"We will do a campaign for drivers and teams to boycott," said Rajab. "The government wants Formula 1 to tell the outside world that everything is back to normal ... Formula 1, if they come, is helping the government to say [it is normal]. We would prefer it if it didn't take part. I am sure the drivers and teams respect human rights."
