Ambrose Fastest in Final Watkins Glen Practice

Ambrose has never finished worse than third at the Glen

It was Marcos Ambrose, with a lap speed of 126.604 mph, showing the fastest way around Watkins Glen International during the final practice session.

Kurt Busch was second fastest with a lap speed of 125.795 mph, and was followed by Carl Edwards (125.761) , Brad Keselowski (125.722) and Martin Truex Jr. (125.636).

Rounding out the top-ten fastest during “Happy Hour” were Joey Logano (125.316), Clint Bowyer (125.005), Jimmie Johnson (124.782), Jeff Burton (124.680) and Casey Mears (124.582).

The teams will return Saturday morning for their 11:40 AM (EDT) scheduled qualifying session, which will determine the starting lineup for Sunday’s race.
